CPSIA affects both manufacturers & retailers

The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) goes into effect on 2/10/09 and covers all consumer products, but the most stringent facets of the law have to do with items intended for children ages 12 and under. The CPSIA requires manufacturers to certify that their products comply with all CPSC regulations, employing third-party testing.

Baby Emporio offers certificates of testing done by an approved lab for the following items: Ookie™, Kammi™, Satin SOOTHYS™ dolls, KinderKozy™ sleepsacks/blanket fabric and MyFancyCover™ shopping cart covers. Other blankets are currently being tested. We will email these certificates upon request.

We also have copies available for you about the testing that was done on the dye used in the Steppin' Out Sox™ and Steppin' Out Tights™: such information is available to our wholesale customers upon request.
